Best Activities to Do During Lockdown
Bored with lock down or holiday? Here is the best activities to do during lockdown.
Is difficult to spend time during lock down or holiday and especially alone in home? There are many activities I have found myself to inspire others.
Here is how I have spend my free hours during the lock down/holiday and alone:
Bank related activities
I have made list of bank accounts, yes I have multiple accounts and each for different purposes, checked access to all accounts, changed passwords, recorded the balance in each, updated personal information wherever required.
It took considerable time to complete the activities. Result of this activity was all the information handy!
Mutual Funds
I have visited mutual fund portfolio to record and streamline. Created account with each mutual funds to manage the funds online.
Made necessary updates such as personal information, know your customer, contact details and connected bank accounts. Updated account details found with old banks.
Prepared a detailed record with activities needs to be done after lock down period, such as switching funds, starting new fund etc.
Stock portfolio
Lock down time had given enough time to find and list few great stocks through regular home works. My portfolio still has space for two stocks.
Identified few potential stocks and installed an app to monitor from cell phone. With broker, updated personal information and contact details along with other mandatory details.
Other Investments
Listed and recorded all other investments I have in various places such as in public provident funds, investment with post offices, co-operative societies etc. I have thus got a single place to refer for all!
Kids Portfolio
Visited kids investment portfolio to identify gaps to plan further activities to streamline, according to the goals.
Insurance
Went through all insurance policies such as medical insurance, term insurance, vehicle insurance and endowment plans. Recorded all the details to manage better.
Learning activities – Forex trading!
This is really interesting. I have started learning about Forex Trading where I no or limited knowledge.

Apps in cell phone
I had a clean up all the Apps that are not used for long time. Installed apps to manage bank accounts, mutual funds, stock investments as well as an app for monitoring stocks and mutual funds that I am planning to invest in the future.
Other activities
My writing and reading habits helping me to spend free time constructively. With a great collection of best investment guides and other materials on personal finance and investing, my days are really short.
Even if I have some free time, this blog is another place to spend. As it is relatively a new blog and recently migrated to WordPress, there are enough for me to learn about this new platform!
I am regularly posting new articles on various subjects and required long hours to complete each including promotion activities in the social media sites!
